Does Taking Out Refined Sugar and Gluten Help?

For me, yes. I have slowly been phasing out the refined sugar and gluten products from my diet. The occasional indulgence doesn’t impact much, but a week long indulgence in the culinary delights of Italy involved a big dose of both refined sugar and gluten. Lovely food, but by the end, my energy levels plummeted, I didn’t feel half as strong as the week before and getting back home, I was shattered. My self image also suffered. Furthermore, those healthy eating habits are much harder to return to now, despite knowing I feel better in them. Thanks to my trainer keeping an encouraging eye on me, I am getting back to those habits and my energy and strength are climbing back. Changing my diet has certainly helped me.
